Some of these shots are executed by top players; others by more average players.
What they all share is an unusual way of reading and attacking the hole.

In each case, the player faced a choice: follow the ordinary line, which would require several shots to hole out, or attempt a more demanding route in pursuit of a condor or an albatross.
Some of these shots are played with clubs that are not typically considered optimal. This reflects a deep study of that particular club characteristics and a player’s ability to extract the maximum potential from it.
