Dear friends,
This website is the new, updated version of the original Rivalpedia blended with A Guide to Golf Rival (both had originally been hosted on Google Sheets).
Rivalpedia.net is a community effort to provide updated help for GR players.
You will notice that some information is incomplete, yet: we are working every day to add new sections, or complete the existing sections.
We invite you to visit often and, above all, to cooperate with us!
If you notice missing shots, please record them and share them in your preferred Facebook group — and also in the open FB groups “Rivalpedia Shots”, or “Golf Rival – Rivalpedia“. This will help us retrieve the videos and add them here.
Let us know what you will do for Rivalpedia.net by sending us an email at:

You are also welcome to contribute content you feel is missing.
“Rivalpedia” blended with “A Guide to Golf Rival” becomes a unique and free community-driven knowledge hub for Golf Rival players
Golf Rival is an online virtual golf game.
We are not affiliated with the game or its creators: we are passionate players, we promote fair play and respectful behavior, guided by community-driven rules that are freely established and upheld.
The original “old” Rivalpedia, created as a Google Sheet by a group of past and present players from many different groups, has been an invaluable resource for years.
“A Guide to Golf Rival“, a very important project not anymore updated since October 2023, was an auxiliary source of game documentation originally started by GodMaker OO as “Golf Rival Club Stats and More”.
When Jack Penkethman, the last curator of the “old Rivalpedia”, decided to step away from Golf Rival playing, he also decided to close “old Rivalpedia” because it had not been updated during the past two years. At our request, however, he generously agreed to transfer all the information to us so that the project could continue. For this, the entire Golf Rival community owes him — and all past contributors — deep gratitude.
Then, we recently contacted the editors of “A Guide to Golf Rival”, another resource not anymore updated. Thanks to Gerhard Drechsler, they gave us access to this project, so that we could blend the two sources together.
Among the past editors of “Rivalpedia” and “A Guide to Golf Rival“, we would like to acknowledge (in strict alphabetic order!):
RIVALPEDIA
- Aryan GR
- Brian Chardeen
- Chase Carlson
- Emily Dann
- Jack Benny
- Jack Penkethman
- Kaat Skytte Ballegeer
- Paula Phillips
- SpiritFingered Yue
A GUIDE TO GOLF RIVAL
- Brian Morgan
- Emil Johansson
- Gerhard Drechsler
- GodMaker OO
- Martin Boeg
- Rob Fluegel
If you have contributed to the projects as an editor, and do not see your name here, please let us know!
It is important to remember that both the old Rivalpedia and A Guide to Golf Rival have never been the work of a single person, but the collective effort of the community. Shots, trick shots, ball choices — no individual could have compiled all of this alone.
As we improve our play day by day, let us not forget that our growth is built on the shared knowledge of many fellow players.
While A Guide to Rival Golf had stopped updates in 2023, the old Rivalpedia had also suffered an additional major setback: when the Facebook group that hosted most of the video content closed, almost all example shots were lost. We realised it was time to rebuild in a way that would not depend on the fate of any individual, group, or platform.
That is how the Rivalpedia.net project was born.
Our goal is to enrich the knowledge about the game by working with the wider Golf Rival community, especially the many Facebook groups that hold the community together, sharing videos, information, organizing tournements, and so on.
We have invited them to collaborate with us, so that Rivalpedia can serve players across all groups.
This site is not only a catalogue of holes, but also a guide on how to play them, helping you to be better prepared when you face the leaderboards.
We are a collaborative, volunteer effort. No one here receives any monetary benefit, and we agreed to keep this site completely free from ads (we already watch ads while playing Golf Rival, there is no need to add more!).
Rivalpedia.net knowledge grows through contributions from players like you: you share video of your shots, you invent trickshots, you play and respect players and the game, you may write entire help sections!
